CYC Photon Gen 2 92-100mm motor kit.
The very latest generation of high performance torque sensor e bike conversion motors. These motors need to be ridden to be appreciated. With a host of upgrades from the Gen 1 motors the Gen 2 Photons are the ultimate e bike conversion system.
Upgrades from the Gen 1 motors include increased efficiency in the higher power levels.
Increased Torque 135nm with a lot more torque at low cadence.Redesigned motor internals for better thermal efficiency. Runs much cooler at high power levels.
2000 watts available in unrestricted mode.
Increased operating voltages. 36-72 volts.
New technology allowing you to set power & heartrate zones for the motor to adapt to.
Larger stage one gear/sprag clutch for increased durability.
Quieter running
Can be serviced by you without the need for special tools.
Power delivery & levels are fully adjustable with the CYC Ride Control App.

This kit includes a Photon Gen 2 92-100mm motor, 160mm cranks, thumb throttle, 36t chainring & new Intuitive display.

I’ve done a lot of hard riding with the Gen 1 Photon & they perform very well but when used at 1000watts or more for extended periods they would get hot & reach their thermal protection limit & reduce power until they cooled down which could be frustrating. The Gen 2 Photon has no problem with this & keeps supplying full power consistently. I have trouble getting them over 60 degrees. The increased torque at lower cadence is also very noticeable & means you can get away with less gear changes. Quite frankly I feel they are a game changer for those riders wanting a high powered e bike motor that is durable & can perform at high power levels without overheating.
