CYC Photon Pro 92-100mm motor kit.
The very latest generation of high performance torque sensor e bike conversion motors. These motors need to be ridden to be appreciated. The Photon Pro shares the same body as the Gen 2 Photons but with a bigger motor unit to produce up to 4000watts & 180nm of torque! Ground clearance & fitting are exactly the same as the Gen2 Photon. With the correct battery these motors are an absolute beast.
Upgrades from the Gen 1 motors include increased efficiency in the higher power levels.
Increased Torque 180nm max with a lot more torque at low cadence.Redesigned motor internals for better thermal efficiency. Runs much cooler at high power levels.
4000watts available in unrestricted mode.
Increased operating voltages. 36-72 volts.
New technology allowing you to set power & heartrate zones for the motor to adapt to.

These motors work very well with our exclusive range of custom batteries which are especially designed for full suspension bikes & frames with limited space for a battery. You can find these in our battery section. Please be aware that to achieve 4000watts you’ll need the correct battery so if in doubt please contact us to discuss options. Most of our 48-52volt batteries can produce 2000-2500watts.

I’ve done a lot of hard riding with the Gen 1 Photon & they perform very well but when used at 1000watts or more for extended periods they would get hot & reach their thermal protection limit & reduce power until they cooled down which could be frustrating. The Gen 2 Photon has no problem with this & keeps supplying full power consistently. I have trouble getting them over 60 degrees. The Photon Pro is better again! The increased torque at lower cadence is also very noticeable & means you can get away with less gear changes. Quite frankly I feel they are a game changer for those riders wanting a high powered e bike motor that is durable & can perform at high power levels without overheating.
